Get the inside scoop on the 2015 Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival with Democrat and Chronicle music critic Jeff Spevak.

Every morning during the festival, Spevak will be joining Scott Regan on “Open Tunings” to run down the day’s best bets and the most intriguing artists. He’ll also throw in performance reviews and a few tips to make your trip to the festival a lot more fun. Listen to “Open Tunings” every morning at 10:30 on WRUR-FM 88.5 and look for Spevak at the D&C Digital Jazz Club, open in the festival merchandise tent every evening.

Different Radio will be at GrassRoots this Friday for a special edition of Open Tunings. Join Scott Regan and Tracey Craig, host of Rootabaga Boogie, broadcasting live from the festival, starting at 10 AM. During the broadcast, scheduled to appear on the program are Richie & Rosie, James Leva, Driftwood, Lake Street Dive, and Jim Lauderdale. Tune in live for this special broadcast on Friday, or stop by our location on the track near the Infield Stage. 

  

A diverse collection of music, from rock to reggae, funk, gospel and even a band that just plays baseball songs. That's all part of this year's Windstream Party in the Park concert series in Rochester which sees some changes from last year.
