2016 WRUR Different Radio Tote Bag Design Contest

Record Store Day is quickly approaching and we’re looking for a design for a special, limited-run WRUR Different Radio tote bag. These cotton totes could be adorned with your creative genius. The winning design will be showcased on tote bags distributed at participating shops on Record Store Day, as well as other Different Radio events.

Winner gets…

·       Artist credit on tote bag

·       Pair of tickets to a Little Concert Series performance (Alejandro Escovedo – May 10 OR Loudon Wainwright – June 5)

·       Guest DJ experience with Scott Regan

·       10-pack tickets to the Little Theatre

·       Artist profile on WRUR website

·       WRUR swag including 5 tote bags

Winner Announced: Monday, March 28 during Open Tunings (9am-12pm)

Guidelines:

·       Create an original ONE-color graphic

·       Your design must feature “WRUR 88.5” and may include an accompanying graphic

·       We are looking for an “evergreen” design, one that is not Record Store Day or 2016 specific

·       Design should be one that appeals to Rochester’s music community, regional audiophiles, vinyl collectors, and you.

·       The design must be your own original, unpublished work and must not include any third-party logos or copyrighted material; by entering the competition, you agree that your submission is your own work.

·       Design may include line art, text, and photographs, and all .jpg submissions must be under 1 MB. For any digital designs, ensure the final format is at least 300 dpi or vector based. (i.e.:an .eps or .ai file)

·       Your design is for the front of the tote and will occupy a square-ish space in an area up to 14? x 14?.

·       Print of design will only be ONE color.

The Fine Print:

·       Submissions will be screened for merit and feasibility, and we reserve the right to make changes such is image size, ink or bag color before printing.

·       By submitting your design, you grant permission for your design to be used by WXXI/WRUR including, but not limited to, WXXI/WRUR digital media (websites, social media) and marketing materials.

·       WXXI/WRUR reserves the right to final decision.
